Hibiscus tea is an herbal tea made as an infusion from crimson or deep magenta-colored calyces of the roselle flower. It is consumed both hot and cold. It has a tart, cranberry-like flavor.

Major Ingredients: Dried Hibiscus flower (tea cut).

Benefits: Hibiscus tea is a mixture of dried hibiscus flowers, leaves, and dark red calyces. Regular use of Hibiscus Tea may help:

• Regulate blood pressure.
• Lower body mass index (BMI), body weight, body fat, and hip-to-waist ratio.
• Hibiscus tea is rich in powerful antioxidants and may, therefore, help prevent damage and disease caused by the build-up of free radicals.
• Improve liver health.

Preparation:

Follow the below preparation method for the best results.
1. Boil 150 ml of water in a teapot.
2. Set this aside, add 1 gram of Hillgreen Hibiscus tea and cover the teapot with a lid and let it steep for 5-6 minutes.
3. For enhanced taste, you may add some of your favorite flavors to this tea. Basil, lemon-grass, lemon zest and mint all taste really nice with hibiscus.

Note- Since Hibiscus has a tart taste, you may add ¼ tsp. of honey as a sweetener if you prefer your tea moderately sweet.

Makes 100 cups, when made with 1g (approx.) of Hillgreen Hibiscus tea.
